Simply put, we are a family run boutique winery, nestled in the foothills of San Diego's east county. We grow our own grapes, maintaining the vineyard ourselves and process the wine to bottling in our little wine tasting & processing "barn". (see update below)
We have high quality vines in our vineyard, in excellent growing conditions bathed in sunshine throughout the growing season, yielding excellent flavored fruit. The vineyard has been established for over 10 years.
In addition, we seek out quality grapes at nearby vineyards so we can provide you with a nice varietal choice. In 2015 we began blending varietals and making dry Rose's we are excited about. In 2016 we took another leap into dessert wines and wow it turned out amazing (and sold out quickly).
Current Wine Selection:
Sauvignon Blanc - 2013
Chardonnay - 2015 (unoaked & unfiltered)
Cabernet Franc - 2015
Cabernet Sauvignon - 2015
Quattro Uva - A Four varietal blend. Silver Medal Winner - Ensenada International Wine Contest 2017
Petit Sirah - 2014
Petit Verdot Rose' (dry) - 2014
Late Harvest Zin - 2016 (SOLD OUT)
Rose of Zinfandel - 2015
Montepulciano - 2015 (SOLD OUT)
Wine tasting is $8 p/p and waved with wine purchase.
We also carry Olive Oil, flavored Olive Oil and Balsamic Vinegar, all from Calif. Also, we have 25 year old Balsamic Vinegar from Italy.
More good news - the 25 year old Balsamic is now available in larger sizes. It's the best we've ever come across in any of our travels. We also just added a delicious Dark Chocolate & Cask Balsamic blend.
Approx. 90% of our grapes come from our Estate or San Diego County. We believe in making wine through the old fashion tried & true processes and aged in oak in small hand crafted quantities.
Ours is a quaint, friendly place to visit, enjoy the sunshine and
views, sample some wine and Olive Oil, chat with the owner/winemakers
and kick-back and relax. You can also enjoy a short scenic drive along Historic Hwy 94 and visit other wineries. I've provided a link below.
Solar Panel's are up & running and doing a great job of significantly reducing our energy consumption from the grid. (we continue to make strives to lower our carbon footprint and make our place greener. Something beautiful San Diego County and especially Deerhorn Valley deserves)
Also, we have built a new processing building that will go along way to help bring you more wine.
This also allows us to rebuild our little barn and turn it into a full time Winery Tasting room with much more room for you! Please pardon the dust as we revamp the barn to a new exciting place for you to enjoy. We like our little quaint, friendly Winery and have no plans or desires to make it into a large-scale corporate thing)
From San Diego and the west; Take Campo Rd./Highway 94 to Honey Springs Rd and 6 miles up Honey Springs. (Honey Springs Rd. is Approx. 5 Miles east of the JAMUL CASINO)
From the South Bay; Take Otay Lakes Rd to 94, Left and then quick right onto Honey Springs Rd.
Please note: if you are concerned about the traffic around the casino, you can easily by-pass that by taking Skyline Truck Trail. It runs right into Honey Springs and we are less than 2 miles down the road.
